EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT

The Executive Management of Madang Cocoa Company is made up of highly experienced individuals who not only possess the skillset to perform their respective roles effectively, but demonstrate strong leadership and teamwork which is essential in managing an operation covering the length and breadth of Madang Province.

 

At full strength, there will be eight (8) Executive Managers, including the MD/CEO.  Presently, only four (4) positions have been taken up. We are currently in the recruitment process for the General Manager Operations and the Company Secretary.

MCCL Executive Management Profiles

Chairman

Judah is an Associate of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA) and holds a Bachelor of Economics Degree from the University of Papua New Guinea. Judah has a combination of over 15 years of corporate experience in finance and investments, agriculture and aviation. Judah has extensive experience in Stockbroking and Client Advisory services and Funds Management, at one time Fund Manager of Nasfund and Asset Manager of MRL Capital Limited managing investment assets totalling K2.6 billion. Judah has also worked in corporate strategy at PNG Ports Corporation and National Airports Corporation helping turn around the NAC from a K10 million cash deficit position to positive cash assets of over K4.0 million. Judah started Eastern Gate Capital Advisers in 2015 to focus on providing development solutions to Papua New Guinea. His projects included Economic Corridors in Morobe and Cocoa Exports in Madang.

Judah hails from East Sepik Province and is married to a Karkar woman. They have six children.

CEO

Kepas is a graduate of Lae’s PNG University of Technology in Commerce/Accounting. Kepas had a career in accounting for 15 years before leaving to be an entrepreneur. He was Senior Accountant with Ok Tedi Mining for most of this time, before stints with Deloitte, Air Niugini and Cofey International. Kepas has over 25 years’ experience in business dealing, negotiation, and business development and has successfully built a strong business portfolio over the years. Kepas will head the Commercial functions of marketing, business development and stakeholder relations. He holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Divine Word University and a Graduate Diploma in Biblical Ministry from the Oceania Bible College. 

Kepas hails from Western Highlands and is married with 3 adult children.

GM Sustainability

GM Sustainability is responsible for all of MCCL’s socio-economic programs including the Madang Cocoa Farmers Sustainable Development Program and the Madang Cocoa Farmers Future Benefit Fund. Naus holds a Masters in Project Management from University of Southern Queensland, Australia with over 15 years’ experience in project management with stints at PNG Ecoforestry Forum and Digicel Foundation. Over his career, Naus has delivered over K40 million worth of projects for Digicel Foundation, with a significant amount of projects delivered in Madang Province alone. Naus is an excellent communicator and leader and brings exceptional quality to the senior management of MCCL.

Naus is from the Ambenob LLG of Madang District and is married with seven children.
